Siam Park

Siam Park is Europe’s biggest water park, but if you were to name it a water park, it would be an understatement! Dubbed `The Water Kingdom`, Siam Park has a Thai theme and a huge selection of water slides, bars and restaurants- something for the whole family. You can choose to swirl into the mouth of a giant dragon amongst your friends in a raft, or if you are brave enough, take the 28 metres plunge down the Tower of Power which takes you soaring through an underwater aquarium... watch out for the sharks! You can also catch the waves at the Wave Palace, which generates the world's biggest artificial waves, up to 3 metres high. If you need to take a breather, why not relax on Siam beach; or float away down the Mai Thai River? By now you must be working up an appetite! Siam Park has a range of traditional international restaurants as well as their signature Thai cuisine. If you are too busy to stop for a meal, the Traditional Thai Floating Market has plenty of snacks to satisfy your cravings before you ride the Jungle Snakes!

Safety advice for Siam Park:
Siam Park urges all visitors to remove jewellery, watches and large piercings to protect the safety of themselves and others when using the waterslides. Lockers are available at just 3 euro to ensure all possessions are safe whilst visitors are using the park. Siam Park also holds typical height restrictions of at least 1.42m, so please be aware of this when taking younger children to the park to avoid disappointment.

Golf

Golf Las Américas

Situated in the heard of Playa de las Américas and only 10km away from the Tenerife South airport, this 18 hole par 72 course is a true delight for golf enthusiasts on holiday. This well kept golf course has lakes and rivers running through is about 6km in length.

Diving and Snorkelling

Diving in the South of Tenerife is diverse, offering anything from wreck dive to deep sea diving among the mysterious marine life. The volcanic coast and the calm (and warm!) water make diving a popular water sport here. There are dives and snorkelling excursions available for people of all capabilities, and diving lessons available to help those wishing to progress with their diving skills.

Ocean Trek Diving Centre

Located in Hotel  Sol Tenerife , next to the famous Veronica strip, Ocean Trek Diving Centre offers dive excursions and full PADI training for all levels. With over twenty dive sites around Los Cristianos and Costa del Silencio and the options of boat, shore, deep and night dives, you will be spoiled with choice.

Located in Hotel Hotel Park Club Europe, this diving Centre also offers full PADI training for all levels and dive excursions in various interesting dive spots. It also offers dive classes for children.

Blue Bottom diving centre (Adeje)

Diving is a popular excursion where divers can explore the underwater marine life with the safety of a trained instructor, of whom have extended knowledge of tips and advice. Visitors of all skills and capabilities from the age of 12 and above can experience the incredible world of underwater diving. The centre holds over 200 square metres of equipment which are all of high quality to keep divers safe.

Aguapark

Aquapark is a great day out for the whole family, located just five minutes from the hustle and bustle of Playa de las Américas. The park is packed with water slides and swimming pools for kids and adults of all ages - no little brothers and sisters will be left out while the elders enjoy themselves! Why not try out the speed of the Kamikaze, or brave the Twister? Aquapark also has the Dolphinarium which lies on the other side of the park, this you can access via a small pathway. The Dolphinarium features a brilliant show which stars 10 bottle nosed dolphins conveying their skills, of which five of these were born in this very park! There are two restaurants (one with self- service buffet option), four fast food outlets an ice cream parlour to keep the young ones happy.

Excursions

La Gomera Island

La Gomera is famous for being the last stop Cristopher Columbus made before sailing to the new world. This unmissable excursion begins at Los Cristianos where you will get a ferry toLa Gomera. In La Gomera you will go through the valley of Hermigua and will have time to ogle its pretty sights. Next you will reach the town of Agulo where you will be given a demonstration of the Gomeran Whistle, which is the unique language they speak here. You will see the vegetation of El Cedro and dine in Arure- where you will sample true Gomeran dishes. Swinging by the towns of Chipude and El Carcado, you finally reach San Sebastian. Here you will be drenched in the historic sights of the church of Asuncion and San Sebastian chapel.

Jeep Safari Tours

The Tenerife jeep safari tour gives you the opportunity to explore the main areas of the Island in a bouncy air conditioned jeep. The tours include a breathtaking 8 hour tour throughout locations such as the village of Vilaflor and the Canarian pine forests. The jeep safari takes you into the depths of Spain’s biggest volcano, El Teide and stops west of the Island to indulge in a typical Canarian meal. Once your appetite is satisfied, your jeep takes you to the hidden village of Masca, where you have 30 minutes to explore before you are whisked away to marvel the west coast.

What to bring: It is recommended to dress according to the weather, bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a jumper due to the high altitude of some locations. One meal, wine and water is included in the price, but additional food is not.

Jungle Park

Also known as the Eagle Park, the Jungle Park is a zoo offering various species of birds, primates, wild cats and reptiles in their natural habitats. There are also daily Bird of Prey and Exotic shows for your amusement. For the adrenaline junkies, don’t miss Jungle Raid, a 300 meters of journey through circuit of passages, tunnels, ropes and bridges in the jungle; andBob, the 800 meters high speed jungle-crossing track driving through the park. The park is equipped with fast food outlets, souvenir shop and photography processing lab.

Bicycle, quad bike and motor bike hire (and excursions)

You can hire a range of push bikes, quad bikes and motor bikes from a variety of different companies in Playa de las Américas. Take a push bike ride through the lovely scenery out in the sticks of Playa de las Américas, or zoom through the streets on a scooter.

Rafting Bike downhill bike tour

This effortless tour does not require any special riding skills or fitness level. It covers 22 miles of surfaced roads showing you hidden parts of Tenerifethat you wouldn’t see otherwise. The operator arranges for the visitors to take a bus up to Teide National Park where the downhill bike tour begins. Stops are often made to take photos and enjoy the local tapas.

Karting Club Tenerife

The Karting Club Tenerifeis about 7km away from Playa de las Américas and there are free shuttle buses to get there. It possesses one of the largest karting course in Europe with two circuits and five kart models to suit all ages and abilities. The senior circuit is designated for those 16 years and above and the junior circuit for the younger age group. Even if you are not into karting, you can still enjoy a chilled beverage at the club’s cafeteria with huge terrace while watching your family and friends in action in this 1200 metres long, 8 meters wide kart course.

Donkey trekking and horse riding

Donkey Trekking

If you visit the Animal Farm Granja you will come across Donkey Trekking, which is an unusual experience everyone should try. You can choose one of the 12 resident donkeys to take you around a 30 minute trek of the pretty avocado and tomato plantations, or if you are feeling more adventurous you can take a 1 hour trek around the surrounding mountains. Animal Farm Granja also caters for children’s parties and special occasions.

Horse Riding

Horse riding in Finca La Caldera de Ray gives you the opportunity to ride horseback whilst viewing some spectacular natural views that you wouldn’t see on foot. Riders can see fruit and vegetable plantations as the farmers go about their daily routines, or go on to their own individual route based on riding experience and season. The guided horse riding tours which are known as ‘Hacks’ are available in 1 and 2 hour sessions. Regular visitors are entitled to discount.

Segway Tour

Explore the beautiful coastline of Costa Adeje in a fun and environmental friendly way - Segway! Riding a Segway is easy and intuitive, anyone from the age of 11 can give it a go. Within a few minutes of briefing and practise, you will be on your way, sliding through Costa Adeje with your experienced instructor. There are 4 tours of different duration available, prices start from €25 for an hour.

Segway is an electrical vehicle with auto-balancing controlled by computer. It is noiseless and smokeless, innovative, easy to ride, and takes you to further and faster than you can than compared to the walking.

Bob Diving

BOB (Breathing Observation Bubble) Diving is a fresh, futuristic turn on scuba diving. You can explore the underwater marine life inside your safe, 'personal bubble' while riding on an underwater scooter! With the scuba gear attached to the front of the scooter as air supply and keeping the water out, no breathing apparatus is required. In fact, you are able to breath normally! This allows you the peace of mind to admire the curious types of marine life swimming by to inspect you while you are in the water. Price per person is only €44, which includes the boat trip to and from your BOB diving spot.

Almost anyone can try BOB diving and you don't need any diving experience. However, you should be at least 1.55 metres tall and under the age of 74 years. Within minutes of your brief introduction by the PADI qualified instructor, you are on your BOB scooter, immersing yourself in the wonderful underwater world.

Trip details:
Duration: 2 hours. The BOB experience consists of a boat ride to and from your BOB spot, which includes 25 minutes underwater. 
Departures: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at 10:00 and 12:30noon from Pier no. 4, Puerto Colon, Playa de las AméricaTenerife island.

Other information:
- Minimum height is 1.55 metres (about 5'4") to ensure you reach the air supply while seated comfortably on the scooter, you should be in a good health     condition, not pregnant, and know how to swim.
- No diving experience or license is required. 
- 1 scooter per person
- Maximum depth during the excursion is 5 metres.
- You can wear glasses or contact lenses while on the scooter, don't forget to bring them!
- As any water/ boat excursion, there's a possibility of sea and motion sickness. Consult your chemist for some remedies and take them prior to commencing   the exciting underwater scooter experience.
- Your friend/ spouse/ family member can join as a spectator on the boat for € 22 per person.
- Given the small group and departures, it is advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
