The Summer Carnival

The Summer Carnival Playa de las Américas is infamous for hosting The Summer Carnival- which is a two hour extravaganza of colours, music and dance. The carnival was invented by a businessman named Ismael Abbassi Rojas in collaboration with a private organisation in Arona in the hope of revitalising the streets in the form of music and dance. The Summer Carnival starts at the roundabout on Avenida Rafael Puig, with musical acts parading along ‘the Golden Mile’, and finish at the Pirámide de Arona.

Nightlife

Nightlife in Playa de las Américas is divided into two major spots. The first is known as ‘The Patch`. The Patch is very diverse and multi-cultural, with a broad range of music tastes from Moroccan bongo influences to relaxing soul. The Patch has been under a lot of development such as the Tibu’s Bar, which have devoted a large amount of money and time to its creation. The Patch attracts a wide variety of crowds especially the mature ones who would like to enjoy the original rave nights and remember them exactly as they were.
