Description:

Segway through one of the most gorgeous routes in Gozo island, where we'll go around the north coast—visiting lots of interesting landmarks on the way. This is currently the BEST-SELLING tour, as it is jam-packed with many interesting sights.

The 3 hours segway guided tour will leave Marsalforn and from there you will glide around the coastline to Qbajjar bay. You will then reach one of Gozo’s amazing features—the Salt Pans in Xwejni Bay, found on the north coast of Gozo, and here you will see natural rock-cut saltpans projecting out into the sea. These ancient salt pans date back to 350 years and stretch a long way along the coast, and are one of the most popular tourist spots on Gozo island.

Continuing riding, you will see sites of local reel fisherman searching for tuna, amberjack, and the local seafood 'lampuki' (seasonal). From here we will then arrive at Wied l-Ghasri. This valley is beautiful and boasts botanical displays of flora and fauna, and the fields shine yellow in autumn and spring time with the flowers of Cape Sorrel. We'll take a break here.
*There is an optional 30 minutes add-on for EUR5 per person if you wish to have a swim and/or spend more time relaxing on the bay. Please inform us when you book and don't forget to bring your suits and towels!

Next, we'll segway down the stairs for some photo sessions along a gorgeous bay before continuing on our tour, which will lead us into Wied il-Mielah. Here you'll see the natural stone window by the sea, a view worth strolling down marvel at. We'll then get back onto our Segways and ride to the renowned Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary. This building sits in front of the original chapel, and on the inside is the painting of the Assumption to Heaven of Our Lady, which is a centre of pilgrimage, having miraculously appeared in 1883 to Karmni Grima. The sanctuary was built to cope with the growing number of visiting pilgrims.

After this sanctuary visit we will start our journey back. We'll pass through Ghasri towards the base of Ta’ Gurdan lighthouse. For those who are keen, there is an option (not included) to ride up near the lighthouse for a stunning view of the whole Gozo island. Please talk to your group leader and this is subject to the majority preference of the group you are in.

Before ending our segway tour, we will pass under the slope of Zebbug village and make our way down the beautiful valley of 'Wied l-infern', before heading back to Marsalforn Bay.

Segway tour profile:
Duration: approximately 3 hours
Distance: 14km
Start/ finish/ meeting point: Near Hotel Calypso, Marsalforn

OPTIONAL ROUTE 2.5 hours - Marsalforn Valleys, also known as the Deep Blue Tour

Marsalforn is one of the most visited resorts in Gozo island, situated between two hill-top towns: Xaghra and Zebbug. This valley is naturally stunning with beautiful foliage. This slightly shorter tour has becoming popular especially for those who wish to explore the un-touched terrains of beautiful Gozo.
